Daughter of Smoke and Bone tour of Prague – 2016 Edition

“Fairy-tale city. From the air, red rooftops hug a kink in a dark river, and by night the forested hills appear as spans of black nothing against the dazzle of the lit castle, the spiking Gothic towers, the domes great and small. The river captures all the lights and teases them out, long and wavering, and the side-slashing rain blurs it all to a dream” - Daughter of Smoke and Bone

.
Hi everyone. Back in 2014 I did my first every Daughter of Smoke and Bone tour of Prague post. I absolutely adored doing this this post because it brings two of my favourite things together – Prague and Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

As I returned to Prague this year, I thought I would bring you some more Prague pictures in a Daughter of Smoke and Bone series way. New pictures, new quotes, new related information.

As I have said before, I cannot describe Prague in any way that does it justice – but Laini Taylor certainly can! All quotes in this post are from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor. If you missed my previous post, you can find it here.

Hello everyone! I know this is a little late, as it is nearly the end of January… but I still think we need to talk about 2015 a little bit :)

Life got very hectic at the end of 2015 for me, hence why this post is so late (the craziness flowed over into the new year). But there is still a lot to talk about for the year that passed.

Christmas Shopping for Book Nerds: Part 2 – Bookish Things

Christmas has come around once again, and once again instead of enjoying Christmas cheer we are scrambling around trying to find the perfect gift for those of us who are closest and dearest.

And that includes book nerds. Surely they are easy to buy for, right? WRONG! Us book nerds tend to have SO many books that you don’t even know where to start. Do they have that book? Is this sequel the correct edition for their set? Do they prefer hardcover or paperback? Do they like this genre? The list of questions goes on and on and on!

So instead of falling back to the backup plan of a giftcard (nothing wrong with these by the way), I have complied a list of gift ideas for your bookish loved one. Some are a books that are a little different, some for the collectors and some gifts that are just slightly away from the books they adore so much, but still close enough to melt a book lovers heart.

Today’s Christmas Shopping for Book Nerds is for focused on bookish things for book lovers. You can find my Christmas Shopping for Book Nerds: Part 1- Books here.

Who is your favourite author?

Hi everyone. I have been rather absent the last few weeks, so the other day I posted a question on Twitter to have a chat with some of you, and to pose a really difficult question – in hopes of getting to know you a little better and get some new book recommendations.

So why was this such a hard question? Well, the question was to tell me your absolute all-time favourite author! Only one. No more.

National Bookshop Day 2015

Tomorrow, Saturday 8 August, is National Bookshop Day!

So, what does this mean? Well, it means that you should #LoveYourBookshop !!

Pop in to your local bookstore, buy a book and two, and show them your appreciation! Some stores around the country are holding special events, ranging from sales, to signings, to giveaways and all other sorts of bookish fun!

To show appreciation to some bookstores, I thought I would share with you some of my favourites. I wanted to share all my favourite stores across Australia – but sadly I haven’t been to every one (or to every state). But here is a list of some of my favourites.
